WATCH REPLAY: Chavez Jr. vs Cuello ONLINE STREAM


Boxing returned to Tijuana, Mexico Saturday night for the "Latin Fury: Tijuana Thunder", headlining the fight of the popular Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez (Senior) against another undefeated boxer in the name of Luciano Cuello.

Chavez Jr. effectively used his reach and a superior work rate to win a close and competitive ten round decision over a very game Luciano Cuello. Chavez boxed well in the face of an aggressive opponent, and when ten rounds were completed Jr. found himself the unanimous victor on all three official scorecards 98-92, 96-94, 96-95.

With the win Chavez Jr. improved to 39-0-1 (29 KOs) and looks poised for a possible mega fight with the fading Oscar De La Hoya.

Susianna Kentikian retained the WIBF and WBA female flyweight titles with a ten round unanimous decision over outclassed American challenger Elena "Baby Doll" Reid.

Being aggressive in the fight gives power to the reigning female champ "Killer Queen" excel as the victor of this brawl.

The WBO #1/WBA #2/WBC #3 rated middleweight Sebastian Zbik (26-0, 10 KOs) scored a fourth round knockout over former world title challenger Ruben Varon (31-5, 15 KOs) to defend his WBO Inter-Continental belt. It was a body shot that ended it at 2:13.

The unbeaten heavyweight Sebastian Köber (18-0, 13 KOs) scored a tenth round KO over Jean Claude Bikoi (15-10-1, 8 KOs) by forcing an mandatory standing eight count. The time was 1:02.

Fighting on the undercard in 4-round bouts are Quincy (MA) lightweight Ryan Kielczewski (3-0), Brooklyn middleweight Philip Jackson Benson (2-0) vs. Dameon Mitchell (0-1), 3-time Irish national amateur champion, Steven Ormond (2-0), in his U. KHAN VS BARRERA fight RESULTS and REPLAY


Amir Khan's speedy punches saw off Marco Antonio Barrera in the fifth round of Saturday's lightweight bout, marking a turning point in his career six months after a major setback in the same arena.

Round 1 an accidental clash of heads cut Barrera badly at the scalp line and the cut immediately bled profusely. To his credit the younger Khan started the fight jabbing well and utilizing his superior hand speed. Khan used his height and reach to his advantage and looked very comfortable in letting his hands go. Khan continuously backed a bloody Barrera to the ropes where he would unload a quick barrage of punches on him.

In round 5 when Barrera's cut on his scalp is being examined for the second time he was ordered to stop the fight. Khan has overpowered the legendary boxer of Mexico.
