Yuriorkis Gamboa wins via UD against Orlando Salido

WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa prevails in a 12-round boxing mayhem against the former IBF featherweight champion Orlando Salido to become the unified world featherweight champion via unanimous decision on last night's HBO boxing main event.

Gamboa showed his opponent that he is truly the cyclone from Cuba that he can't stop. Gamboa poured his powerful assault from the opening rounds.

But in round number 8, Gamboa was caught by a trembling punch from Salido that sent him to the canvas. But Gamboa's power and lightning speed was too much for Salido in the continuing rounds.

Here are the score cards that crowned Gamboa the unified world featherweight champion: 116-109, 114-109 and 115-109. Gamboa wins the WBA and IBF featherweight titles.
