KHAN VS BARRERA fight RESULTS and REPLAY

Amir Khan's speedy punches saw off Marco Antonio Barrera in the fifth round of Saturday's lightweight bout, marking a turning point in his career six months after a major setback in the same arena.

Round 1 an accidental clash of heads cut Barrera badly at the scalp line and the cut immediately bled profusely. To his credit the younger Khan started the fight jabbing well and utilizing his superior hand speed. Khan used his height and reach to his advantage and looked very comfortable in letting his hands go. Khan continuously backed a bloody Barrera to the ropes where he would unload a quick barrage of punches on him.

In round 5 when Barrera's cut on his scalp is being examined for the second time he was ordered to stop the fight. Khan has overpowered the legendary boxer of Mexico.
